Caroline Shanor

Caroline Shanor focuses her practice on title, transactional, regulatory and due diligence matters, particularly rendering drilling and division order title opinions on fee, federal, and state lands. Prior to The Shanor Group, Caroline managed the oil and gas title practice group at a national law firm dedicated to serving the oil and gas industry.

Upon graduation from Columbia University in New York, Caroline worked as a landman for a Houston independent working with mineral titles and other land related activities.  That exposure validated her decision to make a career in the oil patch.  Caroline received her JD from South Texas College of Law in 2010 and is licensed to practice in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming.

Rob Willis

Rob Willis focuses his practice on representation of oil and gas clients before regulatory bodies on a variety of issues. Prior to joining The Shanor Group, Rob led the Colorado regulatory practice groups for two law firms where he obtained field development authority and pooled interests for a variety of projects on behalf of operators. He also assists clients facing the imposition of rule violations before regulatory authorities. Rob is presently licensed to practice law in Colorado.

Rob graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering in 1984 and went to work as an engineer where he gained valuable experience in drilling, completion, production, and property evaluation in the San Juan and Anadarko basins. He returned to Wyoming and obtained his J.D. in 1991. He worked at the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission as Hearings Manager, Enforcement Officer and Hearing Officer and was on staff through numerous rulemakings, including the 2007-08 comprehensive redraft of COGCC rules.

Áine Wasilunas

Áine Wasilunas is an energy and natural resources attorney. Her practice focuses on title, curative and transactional matters related to oil & gas and real estate. She also has experience in federal oil & gas leasing and unitization, including leasing under Special Acts. Prior to joining The Shanor Group, Áine practiced at a national energy law firm, and several boutique firms, where she gained experience in water and environmental law and land use. Áine graduated cum laude from Boston College and earned her J.D. at the University of California, Davis. Aine is licensed to practice in Colorado.

Rebecca Mickey

Rebecca Mickey focuses her practice on title and due diligence matters.  Prior to joining The Shanor Group, Rebecca was the manager at an oil and gas operator in Oklahoma, where she was in charge of title, leasing, regulatory and curative work for their operations.  Rebecca was also the Prospect Manager of a national brokerage firm where she managed projects in the Rocky Mountain region.  The projects involved lease negotiation and acquisition, surface use agreement negotiation, pre and post-acquisition due diligence, title reports and title curative.  

Rebecca graduated from the University of California, San Diego and earned her J.D. at Suffolk University in 2006.  She is licensed to practice in Washington and Oklahoma.  Rebecca is not licensed in Colorado.

Dicky Shanor

Dicky’s areas of expertise include government relations, regulatory affairs, and civil litigation.  He has represented numerous companies and individuals, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local subcontractors and business owners.  He also served as an Assistant District Attorney for Laramie County, Wyoming and currently serves as a City Councilman for the City of Cheyenne. Dicky is admitted to practice before the state courts of Wyoming and Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Wyoming.

Dicky is currently on a leave of absence from The Shanor Group to serve as Chief of Staff to Wyoming State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jillian Balow.

Kara Konstanty

Kara Konstanty is a paralegal with an emphasis on oil and gas title work.  Kara assists in the preparation of title opinions covering state, federal and fee lands and has a working knowledge of divisions of interests, land descriptions, oil and gas leases and assignments of oil and gas lease interests. Kara has assisted in finalizing 500+ title opinions and is experienced in oil and gas commission filings.  Kara grew up in Indiana and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. She enjoys the Colorado outdoors and is a committed volunteer at a local animal shelter.
